While much has been made of the political tensions that are said to divide the country, quiet mediation and dialogue over recent months signals tangible progress of which all Basotho can be proud.

Every year, the world commemorates the International Women’s Day on 8 March. This day marks a century of “women as agents of change” to improve their lives, communities and health. In Lesotho, all UN agencies are working to improve life for women within their specific mandates and using their different skills and expertise.
Maseru – A study by the World Economic Forum recently listed 134 countries in the world according to how good they are for women to live in. Lesotho was ranked the 8^th best country in the world for women to reside in, only presided by Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, Ireland and Denmark. More »
